First trimester ultrasound

We went in this morning for our first ultrasound. The purpose was to date the pregnancy and to confirm for us that yes, there is definitely a baby in there. Up until now it has just been this abstract thing to me and I was hoping that it wasn't all just in my head! The ultrasound was so cool! We saw the baby moving its hands and feet around a bit (it looked like it was dancing) and we even saw an image of the blood traveling through the umbilical cord. It was quite magical :) She told us I'm really just 9 weeks and 1 day, which puts the due date at January 7, 2010. Christmas might be tricky this year!
