14 week appointment

We had our second appointment at the midwife clinic yesterday. All of our following appointments will be part of their Centering program, where we meet as a group with 8-12 couples also due around the same time to check our vitals, meet with a midwife, and then discuss all kinds of pregnancy-related topics with the rest of the group. It will be a great way to connect with people all going through the same things. So yesterday's appointment was just a checkup before that first meeting at the end of July. She said everything is looking great so far, and we were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time! It was about 160 bpm, which is normal for this stage. There was also an echoing, squishy sound which the midwife said was the baby moving! Very cool!
